New Delhi, April 6: The ongoing row over the slogan of Bharat Mata Ki Jai refuses to die down and everyone seems to have an opinion on whether or not the slogan should be chanted to prove one’s nationalism. The latest public figure to voice his opinion on the matter was self styled spiritual and Yoga Guru and entrepreneur, Baba Ramdev who said that he would have beheaded people refusing to chant the slogan.
Now, Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) president Amit Shah has defended his outrageous and violent statements. Shah said on Tuesday that there was nothing wrong with what Ramdev said, raising questions on whether he had the right to freedom of expression or not. Coming out in suport of Ramdev, Shah said, ”I want to know from those who talk of free speech, does it not apply to Baba Ramdev.” According to a report in The Hindu, the comments came while Shah was talking in an television interview
