For Sultan to become Salman Khan’s biggest hit, it has to break these records

Sultan is likely to enter Rs 100 crore club after three days at box office. The Salman Khan film made a killing at the box office on Day 2 and earned Rs 37.2 crore. That is a marginal increase from opening day BO that stood at Rs 36.5 crore.
With Rs 73.7 crore already in its kitty, the Salman and Anushka Sharma film is comfortably cruising towards the Rs 100 crore target, which is likely to be reached on Friday. Trade is speculating that the film will do anything beyond Rs 150 crore during the first weekend, which is five-day long due to Eid on Thursday.
Before Sultan, Prem Ratan Dhan Paayo got a blockbuster opening at BO. Sooraj Barjatya is to Salman’s career what Yashraj is to Shah Rukh’s. With PRDP, Salman’s Prem was back and that was something to cheer about. The film was panned by critics but still made Rs 208.88 crores at box office.
With Bajrangi Bhaijaan, Salman gave his image a much-needed makeover. His simple and innocent character of Hanuman Bhakt Pawan Kumar Chaturvedi won the hearts of many and their love for the one and only Bhaijaan also reflected at the box office numbers. The movie earned a phenomenal Rs 320.34 crores. His role of Bajrangi also fetched him a string of awards.
